10 Steps to BETTER SLEEP

Simple, cool, all-white bedroom...

Here are the 10 tips and steps to getting better sleep which are very important and useful to everyone of us. ;)

1. Understand the need for sleep zzZz
~ After reading this you should already know. ;)

2. Make sleep a priority
~ It is as important as our mealtimes, studies, work, sports etc. Go to bed when it's time to sleep.

3. Watch your diet
~ A balanced diet will help you sleep better.

4. Exercise and be active
~ Though not too close to your bedtime, this will improve your chances of getting regular sleep.

5. Learn to relax...
~ Tension & stress at bedtime will give you a restless night. Try praying to God before sleep. ;)
In Proverbs 17:22, God's word says A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

6. Sort out your sleep routine
~ Get into a pattern of going to sleep the same time every night, and waking the same time everyday (whether it's a holiday or not).

7. Organise your time
~ There really are enough hours in a day to do everything. It's a question of organisation.

8. Develop healthy thinking and control worry
~ Worrying can keep you up and sleepless. Adopt some worry-free strategies like watching good movies/tv shows, exercise, reading, meditating on God's word (His promise) and many others.

Matthew 6:34 says that Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

9. Deal with other problems
~ Sort out your work, problems and things to do. By keeping life simple, you'll sleep better.

10. Persevere and practice
~ You have to make good sleep a habit, and this will take time. Don't give up too easily!
Practice makes perfect. ;)

Nothing bad happened

19/6/08 (Thursday)

As usual I was working part-time at the music centre while having my semester break. At about 9:45pm, my mum had already come to wait for me to close the shop. Another friend and a teacher were also there. All of a sudden, a malay man came. I thought he was a student's parent, so I pressed the button for the door to open for the man to come in. However, the man looked suspicious to us as his right hand was in his pocket and we all knew something was wrong. He took out something from his pocket... From far, I couldn't see clearly the thing. To me, it looked like small beads on his palm. As he came nearer, he showed us a gold necklace. He said in Malay that he needed money and wanted to sell the gold necklace for RM150! Quickly we told him that we didn't want it and he left the place! Thank God we are not harmed as anything could happen that time! So I learned a lesson today... Be alert at all times, be extra careful with strangers and pray for God's protection.
