Thankful for year 2010...

New year is here! I truly want to remind myself once again to be thankful for all things despite the challenges that I encountered in year 2010. I want to count my blessings & be grateful for what I have now...

I thank God for my loved ones, career, a great church that I belong to & a lovely home that I'm living. Thankful for the capacity that has been enlarged in my life.

Updates of my life...

Yay... there will be a long weekend and holidays this week! This includes the 30th and 31st which is the National Day. Woohoo =) Holiday is always a benefit for a school teacher. I'm looking forward to it. I'm planning, thinking and deciding where to go and what to do. I'm really excited about the things which are happening in my church, work and life now. Just came back from shopping today with my aunt, cousin sister Monica & my mum. Glad that everyone of us bought something =) I enjoyed choosing shoes with my cousin. We travelled to 'Japan' to have lunch & 'Vietnam' to have dinner. Hehe... We blessed and treated one another. I'm sure we will find time to go out together again!

Besides that, I will be going to Australia for vacation end of the year. Woohoo =) One of my dreams is going to come true. It will be my first time going to a western country. Next, I will be visiting my best friend during my Form 6 time in Kuala Terengganu for the following trip. I'm really excited to just imagine that. Passionate about travelling and being with my loved ones! =)

I believe many more good things are yet to come!

Awesome...awesome Weekend

Last week (20-22nd Nov) was truly an awesome & fruitful weekend. I enjoyed it very much. It was very memorable. I'm so glad that I was able to meet up with my uni friends once again. Had long buffet lunch @ Seoul Garden. The food was great, all in all, we had a wonderful time together. Later on, Hooi Sin & Wilfred attended Emerge Rising 2009! Woohoo! So happy that Crystal & Amanda can make it too. Both of 'em were so excited that they came for 3 nights. They liked it very much. Also congrats Amanda as she won the second place in Spelling Bee finals for secondary category. *Claps* She were so calm & courageous to stand in front of 2000+ ppl in Sunway Convention Hall... There were so many talents unearth. E.R 2009 had just passed & will look forward to a greater one in 2010 in new building. :)

Next year will mark another new chapter of my working life. Well, work is important. It gives us a sense of purpose & destiny. Pastor says, 'Find a job that you like and you will not have to work a day in your life.' I want to discover mine & fulfill it... Heavenly father, I commit my future unto Your hands...

Crocs

Last week when I was shopping with Xiang Lin at The Mines shopping mall, I found a Crocs outlet which sells all crocs shoes at half price. 50% less compared to original price. The reason they are selling this cheap is because it's an outlet, not a concept store. It's a good buy for an authentic crocs at a reasonable price. However, not all designs and colours are available.

Thanks for the flowers

One week has passed since I resigned from my first job's company. So surprised by the flowers given at farewell dinner. I will miss u all! Memorable work in 2 months. :D

University life has come to an end

Finally I'm a graduate! I have mixed feelings about this, I hope to come out to work as soon as possible and at the same time I miss my friends and coursemates a lot in uni that I don't want to leave them so soon! I really miss those times we had fun together, the entertainment we had (especially Sing K, finding good food, gatherings etc.) and not forgetting huge loads of assignments, lab reports and studying like crazy for exams.
I will treasure these 3 years in uni. The bonds that we had. I'm so grateful to my friends who helped me in so many ways in my studies and also my parents who picked me up every Friday without fail so that I can be at home during weekends!
Love u all! =)

Do You Love Singing?

Singing is good! Recently found out that actually there are many health benefits when we sing.

Vocal training is good for:

~ Strengthening the lungs and lung development.
~ Singing improves posture.
~ Bowel, bladder and stomach strengthening.

~ Oxygen to the blood system and brain.

~ Our facial muscles get toned ;)

~ Increases concentration, become more mentally alert.

~ Improves our sleep.

~ Builds our confidence.

~ Helps reduce the feelings of depression or anxiety through the release of pain relieving endorphins during singing.

~ Overcomes shyness and nervous reactions to attention and crowds.

~ Improves confidence in public speaking and public appearances.

~ Sinuses and respiratory tubes are opened up more.

~ With careful training, recent evidence suggests that it can help to decrease the problem of snoring.

~ Our immune system is given a boost enabling us to fight disease.

~ It can help to reduce anger.

Let’s sing more…

Mount Hiking Experience in Gunung Bunga Buah

Finally I have time to post something on my blog again! :) Well, on the 30th of August which was a Saturday, my coursemates and I went to Gunung Bunga Buah located in Genting Highlands (around Gohtong Jaya) for a field trip. This trip was meant for our Biosystematics subject's assignment.

All in all, this trip was fun though all of us were really exhausted after a whole day and had encountered with many leechesss! None of us was not bitten by them!

You are created by God for such a time as this

A devotional material worth reading. ^_^

God Spoke You into Existence

by Jon Walker

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

*** *** *** ***

Dear one, you were started as an idea in the mind of God! You exist because the God of the universe thought you up!

The God who spoke the world into existence, the God who hung the moon and the stars, the God who set the sun in the sky – this creative Creator thought about you, was pleased by his thoughts, and so he spoke you into your mother’s womb in the same way that he spoke the world into existence.

As my friend, Rick Warren, says in The Purpose Driven Life, you are not an accident. You were created by God at just the right time, in just the right place, with just the right way to serve God in “such a time as this” (Esther 4:14 NIV).

You are not a product of God’s assembly line. Rather, you’re a unique creation, like a priceless painting from a grand master: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT).

God carefully and lovingly selected your eyes, your hair color, your nose, your intellect, your personality. None of this is an accident, so, if you’ve been rejecting yourself, then you’ve been rejecting God’s design of you. It’s okay to talk to him about your frustrations, disappointments, or confusion.

Ask God to help you live as the person he designed you to be. Ask him to give you a clear and present vision of your purpose in life; then, ask him to be your strength and wisdom as you live it out.
