Feel so blessed by this conference, Asia Conference 2008! A history making event. We really had a blast. It was so worthwhile...
Held in Singapore Expo Hall, the place was crowded with people everyday during these 5 day conference (19-23Nov). Feel so blessed by everything, the leadership of Ps. Kong, sermons by great speakers around the world, prophecies, workshops, performances and heart touching testimonies by members of City Harvest Church Singapore. Miracle healing happened too. Really had a powerful encounter with God.
The next Asia Conference will be in 2010. Make sure u don't miss it. ;)

Mount Hiking Experience in Gunung Bunga Buah
Finally I have time to post something on my blog again! :) Well, on the 30th of August which was a Saturday, my coursemates and I went to Gunung Bunga Buah located in Genting Highlands (around Gohtong Jaya) for a field trip. This trip was meant for our Biosystematics subject's assignment.
Captured this butterfly on my own
before it flew away!
With just a compact cam. ^_^

You are created by God for such a time as this
A devotional material worth reading. ^_^
God Spoke You into Existence
by Jon Walker “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) *** *** *** *** Dear one, you were started as an idea in the mind of God! You exist because the God of the universe thought you up! The God who spoke the world into existence, the God who hung the moon and the stars, the God who set the sun in the sky – this creative Creator thought about you, was pleased by his thoughts, and so he spoke you into your mother’s womb in the same way that he spoke the world into existence. As my friend, Rick Warren, says in The Purpose Driven Life, you are not an accident. You were created by God at just the right time, in just the right place, with just the right way to serve God in “such a time as this” (Esther 4:14 NIV). You are not a product of God’s assembly line. Rather, you’re a unique creation, like a priceless painting from a grand master: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT). God carefully and lovingly selected your eyes, your hair color, your nose, your intellect, your personality. None of this is an accident, so, if you’ve been rejecting yourself, then you’ve been rejecting God’s design of you. It’s okay to talk to him about your frustrations, disappointments, or confusion. Ask God to help you live as the person he designed you to be. Ask him to give you a clear and present vision of your purpose in life; then, ask him to be your strength and wisdom as you live it out.

10 Steps to BETTER SLEEP
1. Understand the need for sleep zzZz
~ After reading this you should already know. ;)
2. Make sleep a priority
~ It is as important as our mealtimes, studies, work, sports etc. Go to bed when it's time to sleep.
3. Watch your diet
~ A balanced diet will help you sleep better.
4. Exercise and be active
~ Though not too close to your bedtime, this will improve your chances of getting regular sleep.
5. Learn to relax...
~ Tension & stress at bedtime will give you a restless night. Try praying to God before sleep. ;)
In Proverbs 17:22, God's word says A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
6. Sort out your sleep routine
~ Get into a pattern of going to sleep the same time every night, and waking the same time everyday (whether it's a holiday or not).
7. Organise your time
~ There really are enough hours in a day to do everything. It's a question of organisation.
8. Develop healthy thinking and control worry
~ Worrying can keep you up and sleepless. Adopt some worry-free strategies like watching good movies/tv shows, exercise, reading, meditating on God's word (His promise) and many others.
Matthew 6:34 says that Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
9. Deal with other problems
~ Sort out your work, problems and things to do. By keeping life simple, you'll sleep better.
10. Persevere and practice
~ You have to make good sleep a habit, and this will take time. Don't give up too easily!
Practice makes perfect. ;)

Nothing bad happened
19/6/08 (Thursday)
As usual I was working part-time at the music centre while having my semester break. At about 9:45pm, my mum had already come to wait for me to close the shop. Another friend and a teacher were also there. All of a sudden, a malay man came. I thought he was a student's parent, so I pressed the button for the door to open for the man to come in. However, the man looked suspicious to us as his right hand was in his pocket and we all knew something was wrong. He took out something from his pocket... From far, I couldn't see clearly the thing. To me, it looked like small beads on his palm. As he came nearer, he showed us a gold necklace. He said in Malay that he needed money and wanted to sell the gold necklace for RM150! Quickly we told him that we didn't want it and he left the place! Thank God we are not harmed as anything could happen that time! So I learned a lesson today... Be alert at all times, be extra careful with strangers and pray for God's protection.

Age of Glory
This tv show is really nice! Very touching... Story talks about the life of three girls, how pitiful they are, and the tough life they have to go through. Story mainly revolves around fame, money and love... This is locally produced, with Malaysian celebrities showing off their talents! A show worth watching... Wonder what will the ending be? Do catch it on ntv7, Mon-Thurs 9:45pm! or watch online. ;)

Baking Egg Tarts
Just now in the evening, I thought of baking egg tarts since Chai Lim has given me the recipe about a week ago in her blog. Saw her post of egg tarts before that looked so delicious! See this! Therefore without delay I asked from her since I have time to bake now. This is the first time I make egg tarts ler.. I followed her recipe totally. The baking was not really successful but I managed to bake some good ones as I think the egg tart molds that Lim used are bigger than mine... so this caused my pastry to be quite thick and some left over of egg tart filling. Anyway, here are the ingredients.. ^_^
Mixing flour to make pastry
Dough is ready
Filling the tart shell...
Ready to be baked in oven!
As I said... there was some left over of egg tart filling, so my sis and I thought of making this giant egg tart pie to use up the egg filling. We made another new pastry using the APPLE PIE recipe that I use to bake! Not from the egg tart recipe.
If any of you are interested to bake, do check out the recipe in Chai Lim's blog here & egg tart picture! ^_^
Reminder: The recipe above serves 12. A 12-muffin tray can be used, or like mine, can use a 6-muffin tray but bake 2 rounds. Salt can be reduced according to your own taste. Time to bake is 15-20 mins, my oven applies to 15 mins with tarts preheated together in oven. Just watch out the tarts when it turns brown.

4th Sem Break
Fourth Semester Break has just begun! Ended my last paper on the 23rd, then 6 of us consist of uni mates and course mates went to one of our friend, Hooi Sin's house in Kapar, Klang for a 3 days,2 nights stay. We really enjoyed ourselves as her family offered their big house which is fully furnished for us to stay. They do not live there as they have another house, the old one. This place is located outskirts of the city, and I was really amazed during the long journey there. ;) Of course we did not miss out the famous cuisine such as Bak Kut Teh, seafood, and hand-made Pan Mee.
While we were in the midst of having K-session at Green Box, one of us was invited to go out for this game with other customers, making a partition by collecting the most green peas among the red beans. In the end, we won! We thought that we'll be given extra session, voucher or dinner, but we got a bottle of sparkling juice for the prize only... In the evening, we had badminton session at the sports complex. At night, we played mahjong, I learnt it for the first time, knew how to play at last! ^_^

I hate this thing
Notice it? At the Aloe vera plant, beside the dried leaf.
Another clearer view...
