This tv show is really nice! Very touching... Story talks about the life of three girls, how pitiful they are, and the tough life they have to go through. Story mainly revolves around fame, money and love... This is locally produced, with Malaysian celebrities showing off their talents! A show worth watching... Wonder what will the ending be? Do catch it on ntv7, Mon-Thurs 9:45pm! or watch online. ;)

Baking Egg Tarts

Just now in the evening, I thought of baking egg tarts since Chai Lim has given me the recipe about a week ago in her blog. Saw her post of egg tarts before that looked so delicious! See this! Therefore without delay I asked from her since I have time to bake now. This is the first time I make egg tarts ler.. I followed her recipe totally. The baking was not really successful but I managed to bake some good ones as I think the egg tart molds that Lim used are bigger than mine... so this caused my pastry to be quite thick and some left over of egg tart filling. Anyway, here are the ingredients.. ^_^

Finally they are ready to be served! ;) Actually this is the second tray, first tray a bit burnt.. -.-" coz of the time, remember to watch the tarts to prevent being burnt.

As I said... there was some left over of egg tart filling, so my sis and I thought of making this giant egg tart pie to use up the egg filling. We made another new pastry using the APPLE PIE recipe that I use to bake! Not from the egg tart recipe.

See! While the egg pie was baked in the oven, the filling grew bigger and bigger! Like a pregnant mum's tummy.. haha.. breathe in, breathe out.. :P

Reminder: The recipe above serves 12. A 12-muffin tray can be used, or like mine, can use a 6-muffin tray but bake 2 rounds. Salt can be reduced according to your own taste. Time to bake is 15-20 mins, my oven applies to 15 mins with tarts preheated together in oven. Just watch out the tarts when it turns brown.

4th Sem Break

Fourth Semester Break has just begun! Ended my last paper on the 23rd, then 6 of us consist of uni mates and course mates went to one of our friend, Hooi Sin's house in Kapar, Klang for a 3 days,2 nights stay. We really enjoyed ourselves as her family offered their big house which is fully furnished for us to stay. They do not live there as they have another house, the old one. This place is located outskirts of the city, and I was really amazed during the long journey there. ;) Of course we did not miss out the famous cuisine such as Bak Kut Teh, seafood, and hand-made Pan Mee.


While we were in the midst of having K-session at Green Box, one of us was invited to go out for this game with other customers, making a partition by collecting the most green peas among the red beans. In the end, we won! We thought that we'll be given extra session, voucher or dinner, but we got a bottle of sparkling juice for the prize only... In the evening, we had badminton session at the sports complex. At night, we played mahjong, I learnt it for the first time, knew how to play at last! ^_^

All in all, it was really fun during the trip to Klang this time. ;)

I hate this thing

This thing came to my house! Yesterday when I was walking towards the flower pots I saw this creature, and it gave me a shock. This was not the first time, the second one! The first was killed not long ago, then came this one. Maybe it came to take revenge? Hehe, no idea, might have just come to find its friend.

Finding Shelter

11.3.08This annoying cat had been making noise the whole night outside of the house due to bad weather. It even went under the car bonnet to hide and make noise. I guess it was very hungry and finding shelter. Photo was taken to find its whereabout as it was too annoying. In the end it was found under the drain, hiding there. Poor cat.

My First Vote on Election Day

This morning, before going to work part-time as usual, I went to vote for the first time of my life! ^_^ Quite happy as I have the chance to cast my vote in this election for this year as I just registered to be a voter last year soon after my birthday. My IC number was the last in the name list at the polling station. According to the person in charge who checked the IC, I'm the youngest voter there. ;)

1st Attempt of Baking CNY '08 cookies

Mum and sis have been busy preparing new year cookies... The cookies are really tasty though this is the first time they bake. I'm so proud of both of u! Hehe. We thought those are hard to make, actually it was so so easy... thanks to someone who shared the recipes. This is the outcome :)

'Mosquitoe-catching' camp in Puchong Forest

A trip to mosquito-catching camp? Yup, on the 2nd-4th February, though Chinese New Year celebration is just around the corner, about 34 of us, from the same course, Biology course, taking the same subject, which is Parasitology and Health Entomology, were asked by our Professor to join a field trip.

The purpose of this field trip is to study more about mosquitoes and their larvae, parasites of rodents, such as rat and squirrel, various insects and snails...

The forest that we went was actually a forest reserve in Air Hitam Puchong, allowed by the State Government to our university, UPM to take care of it and also to do research there.
It is a very good experience as we really slept in the tent for two nights, and during late at night, we had to come out to catch mosquitoes! How to catch it? It was not really difficult though, a few of us in a group stayed under a mosquito net for a moment, the insects will then land on the outside of the net. Just be focussed when it comes near you, and use a test tube to capture it.

All in all, it was really an eye-opener to all of us! That's what we study and the advantages of it ^-^
